Comments – Not logged in

I believe the majority of us are in agreement that we would want our ladies to be able to post comments without being logged in, now there are two way in the settings to do that:

1) Comment author must fill out name and email – Which means they will not be able to comment if they don’t complete their name and email address

2) Open it up so they can still add their name and email, but it is not mandatory, which means if they comment, the comment will show up as anonymous.

For me, if we open it up to the 2nd one, we sort of defeat the purposes of having a discussion? I don’t really have an answer for this, but I would suggest we try the first option and see if we get more comments.

My next question:

Should ladies be logged in to submit a praise then?

  1. I am thinking about the ladies that want to post anonymous and that way they can build up their confidence to post but then that can also open up for posting of unwanted questions, so I think then no 1 will be the safest, so my opinion is to try no 1 first.

And on question no 2, my answer is they must not be logged in because sometimes the ladies struggle to log in and then they just leave the praise report and don’t post it.

  2. I agree with Janine to try out option 1 first, as we all know the main difficulty was the logging in..

I agree that option 2 defeats the purpose..

I really dont feel that it should be necessary to log in to post a praise it’s the same difficulty.. As long as we get the praise as a draft and then the minister can check it and then publish it.

  3. I agree with Janine and Atarah, about option 1 + post without login in. Option 2 is not safe at all.

  4. I’m coming late to the conversation after. TRYING to post a happy birthday wish to Frida. I tried unsuccessfully three times. It wasn’t until I logged in that I was able to retrieve what has been apparently rejected (I didn’t see it in the list of pending comments to be approved)
β€œTHANK YOU Darling that You led me to open the email to my browser so what I took time to post wasn’t lost πŸ˜žβ€
That’s a scheme we need to stay far away from DIScouraging our fragile brides by making posting too difficult or impossible as it β€œfelt” to me (until I logged in).

On another note, I say that the thumbs up plug-in is a great success, and I propose we remove the hearts, even though they are pretty but rarely used.

Let’s remain excited, because with each difficulty he’s showing us and teaching us more things ultimately surrounding us with more blessings as we expand. 🀩

    1. We can still change the thumbs up to a heart. It is a nice big heart so not easy to miss. Let’s see how He leads.

      1. Yvonne, I really love the heart β™₯️ over the thumbs up πŸ‘πŸ»
Interestingly, it behaves, quite odd if you’re still in your Mail program; it will check in and uncheck the heart. But this is actually a good thing because I have lost my comments so often and this is most likely happening more to the administrators to get everything in their email.
Question πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Can you change what it says from Glad you like it to Glad you love it?

          1. I think I see what you mean, it may be the animated hearts acting weird in the comments. I took the animated hearts of the comments and just left the ordinary heart and then I put the animated heart on only the posts. I think this should get rid of the weirdness it causes.

  5. Thank you Yvonne to bring this discussion here ❀️
    I agree with:
    1) Comment author must fill out name and email – Which means they will not be able to comment if they don’t complete their name and email address
    2) Ladies should not be logged in to submit a praise then
    3) Remove the hearts, even though they are pretty, I think that the heart + the thumbs up together is too much information πŸ₯΄
And I agree πŸ’― with: “Let’s remain excited, because with each difficulty he’s showing us and teaching us more things ultimately surrounding us with more blessings as we expand. 🀩”

  6. Hello darlings.
    I agree Yvonne:
    1) The author of the comment must fill in name and email
    2) Ladies do not need to be logged in to give a compliment
    3) I agree with Erin and Paula that they take hearts, even though they are beautiful. I confess that I was in doubt whether to mark the little heart or the thumb.πŸ™ˆ

  7. Thank you Yvonne for bringing this topic!

For the question 1 I agree with Adina: post with a BNN name (to protect the identity) and an email.

For the question 2 I also think the ladies shouldnt be logged in to submit a praise

  8. After posting a comment under your comment, Yvonne, one of the fields that is required is WEBSITE… Even for me, that was difficult to have to go retrieve or type in. I propose πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ That is eliminated from the posted praise form

    1. The website it not required and I am not even sure why it is there. I will see how He leads me to remove it. It must be a setting somewhere.

      1. The problem is, you will not know that it is not required, because it says nothing. Hmm, I wonder. Let me talk to Him and see if He takes me somewhere.

        1. So I had to use a Plugin. Hahaha, WordPress just loves plugins. I was able to remove the field easily. It is much easier to remove the field with a plugin then it would be to explain to the ladies they don’t need to complete it. It may also be much more safer because it will prevent someone from trying to advertise other websites and so on.
